Jazzed Up Pasta

I love cooking based on general ideas and mash ups of what I’m feeling. I’d never dare call this pasta alla vodka but I’d also never call this jambalaya. Was I trying to do a nice mixup of the two? Yes. Was it delicious? Absolutely. But I respect the sanctity of each of those individual dishes. I’ll recreate it soon and share the recipe!

Surf and Turf

My friends and I went to a cooking class and enjoyed scallops (first time!) with steak, mashed potatoes, and (slightly wilted) arugula salad. Delicious, but expensive! I would recreate with cheaper alternatives and a different pan sauce.
